At the occasion of the 90th birthday of the birth of Ismail Kadaré, two events took place in Paris, in the presence of the writer’s family and the Ambassador of Albania to France, Dritan Tola.
On January 27th 2026 : at the invitation of Kawaa of Lucernaire theater, a conference organised by the Association : « How can we view the work of Ismail Kadare and its future? » by Jean-Paul Champseix, author of numerous articles on the writer.
A musical interlude was presented by Vesa Dume, a young Albanian violinist pursuing her musical studies in Paris
On January 29th, 2026 : Aatribute event, featuring a documentary, speeches by notable figures, and readings, was held in the prestigious setting of the Institut de France (Academy of Moral and Political Sciences). The Association of Friends of Ismail Kadaré was highlighted during the gathering. To conclude the event, Tedi Papavrami, an international violinist and translator of Ismail Kadaré’s recent works, gave a moving performance of the Chaconne (BWV 1004) by Johann Sebastian Bach.
